Olivia has frequently been a guest on other artists' albums. On some of the earlier discs her contribution is sometimes minor, for instance Olivia played recorder (but didn't sing) on Hank Marvin and John Farrar's eponymous 1973 album, and provided an ethereal emphasis on the single word Hammerhead in the chorus of James Reyne's song. Cliff Richard, of course, often featured her in a duet in the early days - Olivia is the first female singer he duetted with, in the 1970s when Olivia was a guest on his regular TV show. From the 1990s on Olivia frequently appeared in a duet on guest albums.
Olivia reciprocated with her own album of duets with other artists in 2002, the album (2). The last album released by Olivia was an album of duets Just The Two of Us Vol 1. There was a posthumous album of duets, Just The Two of Us Vol 2, which unlike vol.1 was a compilation of previously released duets, so a good way to get some of these guest appearancs all on one CD, but no new tracks. We have collated a list of Olivia's duets by song.
I have taken a liberal interpretation of 'guest' appearances. I've included some various artists compilation albums where they feature the first release (or CD release) of one of Olivia's songs, like the German renditions of Long Live Love and Banks of the Ohio. These are identified as Various Artists.
