It took Olivia a long time to discover Christmas as a source of inspiration for her music, but when she did, she went for it in a big way in the 2000s. Her first foray into the genre was on the Myer Grace Bros charity album Spirit of Christmas 94, and she followed up with several tracks over the next ten years which are brought together on the Hip-O compilation The Christmas Collection.
In 2007 Olivia made a different take on the Christmas genre with A Christmas Wish produced by Amy Sky which has both a Christmas theme and features several duets.
So far (2024) unreleased Christmas-themed songs include What If and Sea of Pain from A Mom for Christmas and the songs Olivia sang or duetted on at the Kenny Loggins TV Special in December 1999.
